The challenge

Summit Health wanted an outpatient clinic that felt less clinical and more reassuring, without compromising on the strict technical requirements of a healthcare environment.

Our approach

We started from the patient journey, mapping each step from arrival to departure, and designed the spaces to reduce anxiety through natural light, clear wayfinding and a calm material palette.

  • Waiting areas arranged around a planted courtyard
  • Intuitive colour-coded wayfinding for every department
  • Acoustic and lighting design tuned for comfort and privacy
